ABOUT CARLOS CARRERO-SEPÚLVEDA

 

 

Carlos recently graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus with a degree in English Literature and a Film Certificate. In this Certificate, Carlos produced some student short films. Besides this certificate, he worked as a volunteer in WIPM (Channel 3), where he collaborated as assistant editor of video capsules for the Laboratorio de Comunicaciones Científicas (LCC). Carlos is Co-founder of Filmes Casa, an artistic collective. As part of Filmes Casa, he participated as Director in the 48 Hour Film Project – San Juan 2015 where he won “Best Cinematography” for his short “Ménade” (2015). His two most recent collaborations, “January” (2017) and “Sam” (2016) are official selections of the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival, the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival, and the Puerto Rico Queer Film Festival. Carlos has worked as Program Support Assistant at the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. Actually, he is enrolled in the University Carlos III of Madrid, where he studies a Master’s degree in Film and Television. In his free time, Carlos works as a freelance editor and graphic designer.
